Waiting...

Tomorrow is my due date and I have to say most of us are surprised I made it this far.  Most predictions were that I was going to be early, but here I am still waiting for Cameron to be ready to make his appearance into the world.  On Friday at my check up I was 50% effaced and about 1cm dialated; some women stay that way for a week so theres no way to know.  On Saturday I had my "bloody show" so again we all hoped he would come over the weekend, but he didn't.  This morning I woke up feeling very exhausted and uncomfortable.  I got up like 5 times to pee and had a lot of my mind.  I have been getting a lot of advice to rest right now because I will need it, but when I try to take a nap it's difficult.  Every feeling I get I wonder if it's a contraction and my mind is so anxious that it's hard to sleep.  Anyone else had that problem? haha.

Anyway here is the last belly picture.  Next post will hopefully be my birth story.  : )  *crossing fingers*

Best moment this week: Joe and I stayed at a hotel to enjoy a romantic weekend away before Cameron gets here, it was nice.

Family Baby Shower

Yesterday was 10-10-10!!! and it was my Family Baby Shower at Sonoma Chicken Coop in Downtown Campbell.  It was planned by my mom, mother in law and my sister and they did such an amazing job.  My mom planned the food and kept track of RSVP's, my mother in law ordered the cake and made the favors and my sister did the center pieces and planned the games.  I have to say I feel so blessed to have such a loving family! : )

Below are some pictures from the party, enjoy!

Feeling the need to complain : (

So I usually never complain about the pregnancy and can actually say I have had it pretty easy the whole time until the past few days.  The low back pain is getting worse and yesterday I spent all day feeling nauseous and have some gas problems.  This morning I called the advice nurse to see if maybe I just caught some type of stomach virus.  She said it's possible and to eat bland foods, drink water and watch out for fever like symptoms just in case.  I hate feeling nervous to eat expecially when Cameron needs the nutrients and I don't want how I am feeling to effect him, so I am trying my best.  I also googled these type of symptoms in the 3rd trimester and some women say its normal and its happened to them, so I am just hoping it doesn't last long and maybe I am just having a rough few days. *fingers crossed*
For the back pain I am trying to walk and exercise more and use pillows on the back of desk chairs or kitchen chairs, but any other advice would be helpful.

On a lighter side, here is recent picture of me.  I am still loving his kicks and movement and feeling closer and closer to him as time goes on.  I can't wait to meet him!

Next Doctor's Appt is Oct 5th so another update is on its way...

Labor Day Weekend

I really enjoyed having 3 days off work to get some time in with family and friends and relax.  I also got some stuff done as well as I usually have a "to do list" on weekends because I can never get them done during the week. Such as paying bills, cleaning, organizing, and shopping.  On Sunday Joe and I decided to go to Vasona and do the paddle boats and enjoy the beautiful weather; I have lived in San Jose my whole life and had never done them. Crazy I know. lol.  It was fun, but quite a workout.  On Monday I went to the mall with Stephanie and Andee and they tried helping me find maternity clothes and I have officially decided they don't work for me.  Everything is too big or makes me look bigger than I am, so I am going to shop in the regular departments and just buy bigger sizes.  I had people give me that advice before since I am so small and I should have just taken their advice in the first place.  Oh well...I had to at least look. ; )  Last night we went out to dinner for my mom's birthday and it was my mom and dad's first time having Bucco di Beppo; I think they liked it.  Seeing Emily eat pasta with her fingers was hilarious and than she kept waving at one of the waiters; she is going to be such a flirt.  Love it! I can't wait till Cameron gets here!

Here is a picture Joe took of me over the weekend since I hadn't taken one in about 3 weeks.
Getting bigger and bigger every week:

Till the next update; I wish you all a great rest of the week. : )

It's a BOY!

We had the Ultrasound appointment today where they checked all body parts and measured everything.
A very healthy baby BOY!  Joe and I are very excited and weren't suprised at all as we both thought we would have a boy.  Boys run in Joe's family so it was very likely.  We are pretty sure we are going to stick with Cameron Louis, we love that name  :)  It was fun to see his spine, feets, hands and seeing how energetic he is.  I hope he has Joe's ambitions and be full of energy and intelligence just like daddy and than have mommies giving nature and good logic.  hehe.  I know he will be perfect!

15 weeks update

We had another appointment yesterday, 15 weeks and 1 day.  Everything went great.  All my test results from last time came out either normal or negative and the doctor was very pleased.  We got to hear the baby's heartbeat (which was amazing) and it is very strong and healthy.  Little baby Squat was moving around alot and defiantly very active, he/she gets that from Daddy for sure. hehe. We can't wait to find out the sex on July 26th. :)

Just another day

It's just another day at Hotel Los Gatos and I still continue to have a love hate relationship with my job. I have been here for over 2 years now and I love the people I work with and some of our freguent clients/guests are awesome, but I have to say working in a 4 star hotel in Los Gatos isn't easy. I deal with a lot of what do they call them "stuck up, high maintence type" and there are days I just want to scream and say really people? Do those small little things like having a balcony or a pool view mean that much to you when your trying to get the also the best price you can get when we all know you are rich. haha. It cracks me up what some people expect; if only they could appreciate what life really is all about. It's not about having the fancy car, the best suite in a hotel, or the big $100,000 wedding. Sit back and just smile : )
But you know I can also say that some of the brides and grooms I work with and some of the corporate freguent clients I talk to are amazing and so sweet and wonderful to work with. Thats why I always tell people there are good days and bad, I love where I work, but I also get stressed at some of things I do. It only makes me stronger right?!

On another note. I am 9 weeks and 4 days today and feeling good. I don't have another appointment until I am 14 weeks, but I am looking forward to it and just enjoying being pregnant. :)

I have been feeling a little nauseous lately, but not too bad. Just tired and making sure to get lots of sleep. I am looking forward to the pregnancy journey.

My First Doctor's Appointment

I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday and I was little nervous, but thank god I had my mom there with me as support. (Joe had to work). After examining me she did confirm that I am pregnant (obviously, I took 4 home tests-haha) but that I was also not far along. I am only 4-5 weeks right now so in the ultrasound there wasn't much to see so I wasn't able to take a picture home. She had me make another appointment in 2 weeks in order to get a better ultrasound and a better idea of when I am due. We both still think it will be mid December like a week before Christmas maybe. She also recommended giving blood every 2 days for about a week to make sure my horomone levels are right on track and today I got my results from yesterdays blood tests and they are looking good so far. Also when she examined me she said my body is taking it well and my ovarious look fine and my uterious is growing at its own pace. :)
I look forward to my next appointment on May 5th and hopefully Joe can make it to that one. More updates to come. :)

When to tell people your pregnant?

I have been told that woman should wait till their 3 months before they tell people "just in case" something were to happen. I can agree that it would be really hard to have to people you had a miss-carriage but how would you be able to keep it in that long? When something happy and exciting happens in your life you want to share it. I have told most of my good friends and a few co workers that I am really close with and of course Joe's parents know and I plan to tell my parents tonight; I don't think thats too much. The fact that I didn't plaster it all over the facebook and sending it to a bunch of people is being conservative about it. I got told from a close co worker of mine today that I should keep it to myself for awhile because I might loose the baby; I know she may be looking out for me but I took it offensivly. It made me sad because as someone who just found out their pregnant doesn't want to hear that. Am I wrong? What are your thoughts?
